Mane in the Middle is Memphis 10’s ultimate freestyle skate showdown — a head-to-head bracket battle where only the strongest survive. Bring your style, your creativity, and your confidence as you compete for cash, respect, and THE GOLD. If you think you’ve got what it takes to own the floor… this is your moment.

Official Competition Format
Mane in the Middle is a high-energy, bracket-style freestyle skate competition featured during Memphis 10: Skate Olympics Weekend.
This is a true freestyle battle — all skate styles and combinations of skate styles are welcome. Competitors are encouraged to bring originality, confidence, and performance power to the floor.

Separate Male and Female brackets

Maximum of 8 competitors per gender

Head-to-head elimination rounds until a champion is crowned

ONE MALE champion shall receive $250 USD

ONE FEMALE champion shall receive $250 USD

Registration Deadline: Friday, May 1, 2026

Registration will close early if maximum capacity (8 per gender) is reached before the deadline.
All competitors must complete registration and payment to secure their bracket position.
Judging Criteria (100 Points Total)
Competitors will be scored across three categories:
1. Performance & Expression – 30 Points
Stage presence, confidence, crowd engagement, and overall showmanship.
2. Musicality & Movement – 30 Points
Timing, rhythm interpretation, transitions, and connection to the music.
3. Technique & Difficulty – 40 Points
Skill level, control, complexity of movement, and execution quality.
Judges’ decisions are final.
Style Guidelines
This is a FREESTYLE SKATE BATTLE.
All skate styles and creative combinations are permitted. Competitors are encouraged to showcase their individuality and bring their strongest performance strategy.
